I was born in Gütersloh in the Teutoburg Forest region of North Rhine-Westphalia in West Germany and raised in the Royal Air Force on the Isle of Anglesey and in Pembrokeshire in Wales; in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Norfolk in England; and in Moray in Scotland. My family hails from ScotlandWales and Poland.

As a musician (acoustic guitar & voice) I performed on stage and on the streets in the UK, Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic, France, Italy and Spain and was featured on C2 on BBC Radio Cymru.

Between 2007 and 2009, I was one of Wales' leading political bloggers, appearing on 18 Doughty Street and on CF99 and contributing to Iain Dale's Guide To Political Blogging In The UK 2007-2008 and Barn, as well as earning mentions in Golwg and the Western Mail. I was the official resident blogger at the Plaid Cymru 2009 annual conference in Llandudno. My political blog Ordovicius aka The Dyda Dispatches ran from March 2007 until December 2009.

In 2008 I got involved in the viral campaign to promote the HBO series True Blood, creating and administering the official Facebook groups for both the American Vampire League and the Tru Blood beverage.

I currently reside in Berlin and am engaged in knocking together a series of science fiction and occult detective novellas.
